Volunteer Opportunities at The Proving Stage

The Proving Stage is a Community-Driven event...and that requires lots of helpers to make it work.

Yes, there will be nine hand-selected presenters on the stage. But this event isn't being created just to put a few people under the spotlight while everyone else watches.

It's about bringing together Thought Leaders, Topic Experts, Proven Practitioners, business owners, people who hire speakers and members of the speaking community to create opportunities for one another.

Be Part of the Team

We're looking for volunteers who would enjoy being involved behind the scenes and helping us create a great experience for our speakers and attendees.

You don't need event-production experience. You just need to be dependable, willing to help and ready to be part of the community making this happen.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• Registration / Check-in – Welcome attendees and help get everyone checked in.

• Greeter – Be one of the first friendly faces people meet when they arrive.

• Food, Lunch & Snacks – Help coordinate food and keep refreshment areas ready.

• Speaker Assistance – Help presenters with microphone setup, sound checks and getting ready to take the stage.

• Networking Facilitator – Help people meet each other instead of standing around wondering who to talk to.

• Accessibility Assistance – Help visually impaired attendees and those using wheelchairs or crutches comfortably participate in the event.

• Time Keeper – Help us keep presentations and the day's agenda on schedule.

• Slides Liaison – Work with speakers and IT to make sure presentation slides are ready when they're needed.

• Mic Runner – Get the microphone to audience members during Q&A and interactive portions of the program.

• Buzz Builder – Capture and share photos and short video clips on social media while the event is happening.

• Pre-Event Room Organizer Assistant – Help us get the room ready before attendees arrive.

• Post-Event Tear Down Assistant – Help get everything packed and organized when the event concludes.

• Video Camera Monitor – Help the video crew to monitor their cameras so we capture the presentations and audience.
